The Huawei FreeBuds 5 combine a unique open-back design with high-resolution audio and active noise cancellation. Their ergonomic, gently curved structure is designed for a comfortable and breathable fit, avoiding the isolating feeling of traditional in-ear headphones.

Design and comfort

Their open-fit design allows you to listen to music and take calls without fully inserting the earbuds into your ear canal. Huawei has optimized their shape through numerous ergonomic simulations to achieve a stable and comfortable fit for extended periods of use.

Each earbud weighs approximately 5.4 grams , facilitating a lightweight experience both on the go and during the workday.

Sound quality

They incorporate an 11mm dual magnet dynamic transducer , designed to deliver powerful bass and a frequency response between 16 Hz and 40 kHz .

Adaptive equalization adjusts the sound based on ear shape, wear pattern, and volume level. They also offer LDAC compatibility, high-resolution wireless audio, and Hi-Res Audio Wireless and HWA certifications.

Noise cancellation and calls

Open-fit ANC 3.0 technology adapts active noise cancellation to the environment and the way the headphones are worn.

For calls, they use a three-microphone system along with AI-powered noise reduction algorithms. This combination helps improve voice clarity in windy or noisy environments.

Autonomy and charging
