Throughout 2017 we saw several design trends in smartphones take hold. One of them is the absence of bezels to achieve the look of an "infinity screen". In 2026 bezel-less phones will become even more widespread. The honour of being the first bezel-less smartphone goes to the Sharp Aquos Crystal. It was a Japanese phone that made headlines in 2014, although only on a national scale.
The breakthrough onto the international scene was led by Samsung at first. Its Galaxy Edge line, with models such as the S6 or S7, put the South Korean manufacturer at the forefront of phone design. All the more so given that these were its top-of-the-range models, so the bet was very big. Other brands copied the idea, and today almost all the major manufacturers are committed to bezel-less phones in 2026. We absolutely love them!
The best phones with an infinity screen
Nowadays it is even rare to find smartphones with bezels around their screens. Manufacturers have got us used to the good stuff, but unfortunately, on many occasions these are high-end phones. We can find phones with bezels in the budget sections, but they are certainly becoming less and less common. The brands that are starting to fit bezel-less screens as standard are mainly Apple and Samsung. Although more and more mobile brands are jumping on the bandwagon. If you want to know which are the best phones with a bezel-less screen, we recommend using the filters in this section to find the smartphone that best suits your needs, as that is the only way to get it exactly right.
Why buy a bezel-less smartphone?
The striking design and extra inches are the main attractions when choosing a phone with no borders. Technological advances allow physical buttons to be done away with and bezels to be reduced in order to have the largest possible touch panel. The ingenuity of designers makes it possible to 'hide' elements such as front cameras or speakers, all to achieve a front view that will leave you open-mouthed.
As you can see in this section, there are smartphones with infinity screens for every taste and budget. We have reached a point where phones with bezels already look like they belong to a previous generation. Even Apple has broken with its traditional design line after a decade. The iPhone X arrived with no bezels and without the characteristic home button. Xiaomi's bezel-less phones have helped to democratise this visual trend, and today you can find infinity screens for less than 200 euros.
