The Fairphone (Gen. 6+) 5G combines updated performance with one of the most repairable and durable designs on the market. Its modular construction allows for the replacement of numerous components, while software support until 2033 helps extend its lifespan.

Screen

Its 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display offers a resolution of 2484 × 1116 pixels and an adaptive refresh rate of between 10 and 120 Hz. This technology adjusts the refresh rate based on the content to balance image quality and energy consumption.

The panel displays over a billion colors, supports HDR10 , and reaches up to 1,400 nits of automatic brightness. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and features an oleophobic coating, glove mode, and wet-finger touch detection.

Battery and charging

The removable 4,415 mAh battery allows you to replace this component when it loses capacity, avoiding the need to replace the entire phone. It supports fast charging via USB Power Delivery, PPS, and Qualcomm Quick Charge.

It also incorporates Eco Charge and an 80% charging limit with direct power, features designed to reduce battery wear during extended periods of connection.

Performance

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, manufactured using a 4nm process, delivers smooth performance for multitasking, multimedia applications, and gaming. Its octa-core CPU reaches a maximum frequency of 2.7 GHz and is paired with an Adreno 810 GPU.

The device ships with Android 16 and has six major Android updates planned, plus software support until 2033.

Camera

The 50MP main camera with Sony LYTIA sensor, OIS optical image stabilization, and autofocus allows you to capture detailed images and record 4K video. It's complemented by a 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120° field of view.

The 32MP front camera with autofocus is ready for portraits, group photos and high-definition video calls.

Design and durability

One of its main differentiating features is its modular design with 12 user-replaceable parts . Components such as the battery, screen, cameras, USB-C port, and back covers can be replaced individually.

It features IP55 protection against dust and water jets and has passed MIL-STD-810H drop tests from a height of 1.5 meters. Its repairability receives the highest rating of A on the European label.

Connectivity

It offers 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC , as well as compatibility with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou.

Its Dual SIM function combines a physical Nano-SIM card and an eSIM , both compatible with 5G, although only one of them can use the 5G network simultaneously.
