Google launches into the world of folding phones

The Google Pixel Fold stands out for having two high-quality OLED screens , with the second generation of processors created by Samsung for the Big G, the Tensor G2 , and with a camera system similar to the one we saw in the Pixel 7 Pro.

At a design level, the Google Pixel Fold inherits the aesthetics of the Pixel 7 series, since it has the characteristic bar-shaped rear camera module, although this time it will not occupy the entire width up to the hinge because it will not reach the extremes. It is a book-type terminal, so we will talk about two screens: a rectangular one and a square one inside that have made those attending the event jump with euphoria, it has a folding system very similar to the Galaxy Z Fold4 and OPPO Find N2, which has, according to the brand, the most durable hinge in a folding mobile phone, and with fairly contained frames that make it the thinnest foldable phone on the market.

OLED display

The Google Pixel Fold relies on a camera system similar to that of the Pixel 7 Pro. Let's start with what is seen to be the front one , which measures 5.8 inches with an OLED panel in FHD resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate. This same feature is also carried over to the 7.6-inch screen inside , which is also an OLED panel. Each of them has a 9.5 MPX and 8 MPX front selfie camera on the external and internal panel.

But if we talk about cameras we have to also talk about the three on the back . These will be in a rectangular package with beveled edges and will have a 48 MPX main sensor, a 10.8 MPX 5x telephoto lens and a 10.8 MPX ultra wide angle lens.

With these possibilities there is no doubt that it is a phone with great capacities, so much so that it reaches the Pixel 7 Pro although both share the Google Tensor G2 processor with 12GB of RAM and an internal hard drive type UFS 3.1 for better writing and reading .

In the software section it is not short either thanks to artificial intelligence. We're not just talking about all the technology that makes these phones special. It will come with really cool features like Interpreter Mode with Google Translate , continuous playback from small to large screen, and new options that work with the new toolbar and split screen features.

The Pixel Fold has more than 50 Google applications optimized for large screens and a new taskbar that works on a dual screen thanks to which you will be able to use two apps at the same time and drag elements from one to the other .

At the autonomy level, the Google Pixel Fold has a large 4,821 mAh battery with 30W fast charging.
